Flockscreen, Mycoplasma synoviae Stained Antigen Kits
x-OvO Limited is pleased to announce the launch of the FLOCKSCREEN Mycoplasma synoviae (MS) Slide Agglutination Test Kit.
The use of slide agglutination testing to demonstrate an immunological response to mycoplasma spp infections is one of the cornerstones of global poultry health control programmes. Consistency of results together with an ability to interpret those results relative to well defined positive and negative controls is one of the critical factors that influence the diagnostic power of the test.
Each kit contains a 10 ml (400 tests) presentation of FLOCKSCREEN Mycoplasma synoviae stained antigen together with individual vials of 0.1ml lyophylised positive and negative control sera. The control sera were developed exclusively for x-OvO Limited by an International reference institute. x-OvO Limited has applied proprietary staining technologies to purified antigen bulks to produce a class leading product with extremely low levels of autoagglutination, a common problem in commercial MS stained antigen preparations. For the first time, veterinary diagnostic laboratories can obtain control sera developed specifically and certified for use with each individual kit, thus facilitating more accurate test interpretation and results comparison within and between individual kits.
The MS Slide Agglutination Test Kit compliments the MG Slide Agglutination Test Kit, FLOCKSCREEN MG, MS and MG/MS combined ELISA tests and a centralised Mycoplasma PCR diagnostic to provide poultry diagnostic laboratories and producers with the complete Mycoplasma diagnostic programme.
